I wanted to do a yarn along post and catch up all the knitting things I have accomplished over the last 6 months...but I kind of don't feel like it.  My knitting is not a showcase part of my day anymore.  I love the time I do knit but it has found its place among the many things I like to do and sometimes it needs to wait its turn.

But I will say that Priscilla is my most knitted for child.  She loves knitted things.  She wears a knitted hat each day to school and it just about excuses any sassiness I received that morning.  She likes the ear flap kind with tassels ...I have made 3 of them for her and the latest with Madeline Tosh DK held double.

And Lucy is wearing my favorite cowl this year.  I started knitting it as a scarf ...it is a quince pattern that I cast on for right after Drew was born.  But I fell out of love with the color and stopped.  I picked it up the other month and decided it could be seamed up as a cowl and then it would no longer be attatched to the needles I needed for something else.  I love the cowl..not the color.  But I do wear it ALL the time.

I guess I talked about knitting anyway....which makes me want to knit....

Joining Ginny for her Yarn Along..it has been awhile.

I'm reading All The Light We Can Not See!!!

  1. Beautiful knitting - especially the hat! But most of all I can't stop marveling at those happy girls with tooth gaps... So cute, such a special time...
