Making It Perfect
I took all these pictures a few weeks ago. I'm so glad I did. That day was the last of the sunny days. It has been raining for about 2 weeks. We are just at the beginning of this weather and I am not even allowed to comment about it because this is what I asked for.
And really it is not ALL that hard. It just gets a little crazy with the constant wet clothes and kids not exactly wanting to stay out and play as long as they need too...
Plus getting up in the morning for my run in the PITCH black night while it is POURING rain can be a bit of a bummer. As we have moved we have learned there are always trade offs. You get something , you loose something with every place you live. I'm sure this lesson will take me awhile to fully grasp..there is no perfect place to live. It can only be as perfect as you make it!!
And this weekend we are having a little birthday party for Emily ...kinda of a fall party. I would like it to be outside on our new front deck. I have all these little decorating ideas I would like to make happen but I kinda would like it to be DRY!!! The outlook at this point is pretty good...but there is no such thing as a dry October day here in Sitka.....
Another highlight of this weekend is tonight...I'm co-hosting a Pintrest party. The party should be really fun ...but I am really excited about wearing one of m shawls...or shoulder cozy. I can't decide. I love wearing shawls and stuff but with the line of work I am in wearing fussy clothes makes me...fussy...but tonight since I will just be standing around..hosting, I can bear with a little knitted clothing management.
