Who finally finished Molly's birthday sweater.  I don't know why this took me so long to finish.  I loved the yarn and I really wanted to see Molly in it...
...well maybe I know why it took me 2 months to finish...

I may have not been that excited to finish because I was not sure it would fit her.  I did not swatch and I knew I should ...but once that beautiful yarn came in the mail I could not control myself.  Then I changed the bottom to a garter stitch edge and felt a little disappointing in myself.

I still have not finished the button loop...because I kinda like it as an open cardi...plus I am not sure I know how to do the button loop thing.

But these pictures...every time she wears the sweater I want to have a photo shoot.  It rains a lot here...so anytime there is a pinch of sun I try and get a few pictures.  But today I just packed us up...rain and all.  I went down to a new peer that was just built and took 112 pictures of Molly...and her sweater.

And the sun peeked out and the rain stopped....like it was meant to be.

There are tons of mistakes built in this sweater...but Molly has no idea.  I could not be happier!! It looks amazing on her.

Ginny knit this sweater in the same yarn...I loved it .  I am awful at picking out colors .  I much prefer to have others pick them and then I just choose from their wise judgement.  I was not wrong here.

  1. I'm with Molly, I love it and can't see any mistakes at all! Great choice in yarn too!

  3. Very cute sweater. What size does Molly wear and what size did you knit? My daughter Faith wears a size 12 girls, and I hesitate to knit a 10/12 because I have the same fear -- all that work and it won't fit. And I have no more girls to pass it down to.
