Me, My Faith, My Home
I made a visit to Sitka in March and thanks be to God I found this house...This house was meant to be our home. I laugh with Pete, who was not with me when I came up here in March, that when I opened the front door I almost backed right out, went to the car to call him and tell him that I had just found OUR NEW HOUSE!! I did not really think I needed to see the rest...I was good with the hallway!!
I loved this house from just looking down the well lite hallway. I just felt like it was home...and the funny thing is the actual owners were the ones showing me around. I did not feel any hesitation...I knew !!
When we got in on the Ferry at 2:00 in the morning 2 weeks ago we drove right to our house. As the house got closer I got more and more nervous..."What if Pete hated it?" That would have been a major bummer...cause' he kinda already paid for it.
But he, like me, fell in love at first glance. I have bought and lived in several homes since Pete and I began 17 years ago (we got married when I was 20...we just had our 17th wedding anniversary....umm...that is SO weird!!!) and I have never felt so at home so quickly.
As with any house there are a few things that are not EXACTLY the way I would have chosen...but I refuse to even mention or acknowledge they exist. I am home. I am happy. The End.
It is GREAT to be Catholic...

I am cooking dinner. I am knitting sweaters. I am taking walks. I am folding laundry. I am me...just with a new address.
