What Is This Feeling??

I may never eat again.  I am not sure how my family is going to survive this pregnancy.
I don't want to sound like I am complaining because who in their right mind would feel like they had the right to complain when they prayed themselves into this very feeling.  Why would I want to make myself sound anything less than grateful for the fact that I am feeling like the walking dead????

I know this feeling will pass.  I think I have felt this way a time or two before and by God's great mercy He has erased all specific memory from my brain.

Still, I keep asking all the pregnant women I have ever known..."So, how long did you feel awful and did it go away?"  I just have to hear that this will end...

The one thing I can take from these VERY difficult days is if a pregnant woman EVER makes dinner for me I will know it was a great act of LOVE because if I could never meet another empty pot again I would be THRILLED!!
Pete wakes up every day with the tentative question on the tip of his tongue..
"How are you feeling today hon??"

And I usually answer...
"I am so sorry Pete!"

I will rebound..I will be back in the game and when that happens my family will....
"Never Go Hungry Again"

  1. Maybe you should stay away from parm. Seriously though, I feel your pain! Just looking at those pictures makes me smell the strong smell of parm and think if I were pregnant, this would be making me nauseous. Now I am getting nauseous. Oh boy, I need to stop looking at parm.

Lisa, I left you a message on my blog saying I'm so glad you were able to come! It was great to meet you too and yes, the evening goes so fast, it's hard to talk with everyone. Maybe we'll see more of each other through Aquinas Learning. I have so much to learn about the program, I'll probably be up there quite a bit for her little seminars and things.
In the mean time, I look forward to getting to know you through your blog!
    God Bless!

  2. Spoken like my favorite gal Miss Scarlet OHara! Hope you feel better soon and everything will taste yummy again. Praying for you. Kathleen

  3. Lisa, if I didn't know I was pregnant during that first trimester, I would have thought I had some deadly disease! I'm 14 weeks and feeling MUCH better. You will too soon!

  4. Ma Ingalls was quoted (in The First Four Years) as saying..Those who dance must pay the piper" :-)

  5. Hang in there ~ the magic three month marker has to be getting close!

  6. Oh, I remember that feeling. Ughgh...Knowing it will get better is not help at the moment, though, I know. Prayers and blessings!

  7. I am with you. I am so thankful for my teens right now who have heped me with the cooking lately.
