Let Me Introduce Myself

Hi, I'm Lisa.  I am the writer of this here blog.  But that is only the beginning of who this blogger is.

I fell in love with blogging about 1.5 years ago.  Thanks to the wonderful Pioneer Woman I thought I would give a go at sharing some photos and stories of my VERY ORDINARY life.  No calf nuts on this blog.  And no mouth watering images of food, or cowboys...just pilots (mine).

I got a camera and annoyed my children, husband and friends with, "smile" and "do you mind if I put that on the blog?".  I have had a blast writing here.  I have spent more time than I would like to confess reading other people's blogs.

Since starting this blog I started looking at light differently, started noticing shadows and reflections.  I began to see beautiful things in my ordinary life and loved sharing them.  I still love sharing them.

I have mentioned before that I am a social person.  I like being with people. And you guys are my people!!

But these kids are REALLY my people and boy do they need me, and I need them.  Loving them and teaching them takes time.  Time I LOVE giving!!  But there is just not enough to go around sometimes.  When I am blogging..or reading other peoples blogs I am NOT doing 1 of the million things I SHOULD be doing.

And for a long time I was finding balance.  I was adjusting things so I could meet all of our needs.

But then you guys introduced me to knitting and now I have NO BALANCE!!
I just want to KNIT ALL THE TIME!!!

I want to love these kids and knit them things....and I still want to blog about it all.

I want to take pictures of it all.  I want to do it all!!

So, this is me..trying to do it all.  But this is my all...
My faith, my family, my knitting, my blog

So, what is the point of this blog post??  I just want you to know I am still here. I plan to be here.  I plan to visit all your blogs ...maybe just not as often as I would like to.  But I have gained so much from reading you all and I don't want to miss out.  So thanks for reading and stickin' around. I will be by your parts soon!!

p.s. look at me in this reflection...not on purpose..just a cool thing that happens when you are not paying attention...life has a way of making cool stuff happen without much effort!!

  1. We're glad you started blogging too. :) Your kids are beautiful, as always. Blogging led me to knitting as well and balance...well, I work fulltime in addition to all those things so balance comes and goes. ;)

  2. I understand you. I am struggling with this so much. I want to spend more time online but feel that it is keeping me from doing other things I ought to be doing (like exercise, lol).
