Sorry, That Was A Long Goodbye!

I have not been able to post as much lately.  One reason is I have not been taking that many pictures.  Not that picture worthy things have stopped happening, but truth be told it is too darn hot to take pictures.  I like outdoor pictures best because I don't really know what I am doing with light, and right now it is like 110 degrees at 8:00 in the morning (NO EXAGGERATION) and my camera takes like 30 minutes to defrost from being inside relaxing in the AC.

So ...school is starting for us on Monday (Aug 9) if all goes well over the next few days with me doing an entire summer's worth of planning in 3 days.  Yup...I did it again!  I had this grand plan of creating detailed plans for our school year over this past summer and as of last night I have about 5 subjects planned for Emily for the first week!!  Clearly not the mom to teach time management.

I follow a curriculum that is already planned out day by day but I like to write out lists for the girls to doso I can add my own touch to our curriculum.  And that takes some time for me because I poor through each book looking for stuff I want them to do and stuff I don't want them to do. No worries, with 3 whole days left in this relaxing environment of my quiet little home...all should go well!!!

Why only 3 days left to plan you ask when August 9 is 6 days away????  Because this weekend I am going to visit my sister-in-law and celebrate little Luke who is about to be born!!  So....stay cool and enjoy these ruthlessly HOT days of summer....I miss you Alaska!!!
